Welcome to Lavrio
From 24 to 28 October 2026, Lavrio welcomes the Open National Championship ILCA 4 2026, one of the most important events in youth development sailing in Greece. Five days of racing, with sailors from Greece and abroad, in the waters off Lavrio.

The Event
About the championship
The championship is hosted by the Nautical Athletic Club of Lavrio (NAOL) in Lavrio, from 24 to 28 October 2026. It brings together the best young sailors in the country for five days of racing in authentic open-sea conditions.
The ILCA 4 class
The ILCA 4 (formerly Laser 4.7) is the entry singlehanded dinghy for young athletes in the Olympic ILCA family. With a smaller sail (4.7 sq.m.) on the same hull, it is the ideal stepping stone toward the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 and the most widely used youth-development boat in the world.
Eligibility
Open to Greek athletes born in 2011–2014 (U16, Boys/Girls) and 2009–2010 (U18, Youth Men/Women), holding a valid Hellenic Sailing Federation licence and belonging to an HSF-affiliated club on the General Secretariat for Sport register. Competitors under 18 need written consent from a parent or guardian. The full conditions are set out in the official Notice of Race.
Organising authority
The event is organised by NAOL under the auspices of the Hellenic Sailing Federation (HSF) and in accordance with the rules of World Sailing and the ILCA class.

The programme follows the official Notice of Race. Eleven races are scheduled, with a maximum of four per fleet per day. Times not yet announced, and any change, are set in the Sailing Instructions and posted on the Official Notice Board.

How to enter
Entries are made exclusively online, through the Hellenic Sailing Federation’s entry platform. There is no entry form to print, fill in or send — the entry and the payment of the fee are both completed online, within the deadline below.

The forms are hosted on the Hellenic Sailing Federation’s platform (eio.gr).
Before you start, have these to hand: your ΕΙΟ athlete-card number, sail number, club and coach details, plus the parental consent form and the boat insurance as files.
